The MA International Marketing Management programme incorporates the practical, theoretical and technical aspects of international marketing – particular attention is paid to developing an analytical approach to marketing management. MAIMM also incorporates the main business and management subjects which support marketing and emphasises the importance of globalisation in international and domestic markets.
The Institute of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
The CIM is recognised internationally as the major professional body for marketing professionals. It offers stages of Marketing qualifications for students, the first four of which comprise: Introductory Certificate, Professional Certificate, Professional Diploma and Professional Postgraduate Diploma.
Successful completion of the MA International Marketing Management gives exemption from the first three stages. Graduates are eligible to apply for direct entry on to the CIM Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
The CIM qualifications offer a high degree of international recognition and students who also gain the MA IMM will have a combination of qualifications that will give them an edge over others in the field.
Graduates are well placed to fill more senior strategic managerial positions.
Programme Content 課程內容
The programme is divided into three stages.
In Stage 1 students are introduced to general managerial areas and the main international marketing contexts in which they operate.
In Stage 2 students study specialist units relating to international business. Students also study one additional option unit is likely to include: Family Business; E-Business Management; International Social Responsibility; Communication for International Management; and International Accounting.
For the award of Masters in International Marketing Management, students will need to successfully complete an individual research project.

Entry Requirements 入學資格要求
Applicants will have a UK honours degree, or for international students a degree education equivalent to a UK honours degree, 2:2 or above. Students whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate English language capability at a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0 or equivalent.
The tuition fees for this course, for international students enrolling in academic year 2006/07, is £8000.
The fee period for the full-time programme is 15 months. After this period an extension, or retake/resit fee is payable per unit, including dissertation study. This fee is subject to alteration each year.
